About The Role

MWH Treatment have a great opportunity for a Proposals Manager to join our growing delivery team working across the Southern region for our Joint Venture between MWH Treatment and Costain. 

CMDP is a joint venture between Costain and MWHT and delivers a range of schemes to maintain and improve Southern Water’s water supply and wastewater treatment works in the eastern half of it’s region (Kent & Sussex)

Key Responsibilities:

- Ensure constructability input is received in a timely manner from the delivery partners
- Work with the regional construction lead to ensure suitable and sufficient resource is available and deployed to projects
- Manage project activities related to scope, schedule, finances, risks, quality, and resources within defined thresholds and tolerances. Escalate    to Regional Project Managers where necessary
- Ensure that the approach to Health & Safety and Wellbeing procedures are sufficient in that high standards are satisfied as a minimum
- Engage with assigned stakeholders in accordance with overall communication Plan – design or construction – including permits, planning            consents, street-works



About You

Essential:

  • Degree level qualification in a Civil Engineering allied subject or HND in Civil Engineering and vocational training in Engineering
  •  Experienced Project Manager / Senior Agent
  • Strong leadership capability
  • Experience of supervising multidisciplinary D&B projects including civils and MEICA
  • Knowledge and understanding of construction contract law and forms of contract through experience and formal training
  • Extensive technical knowledge of construction techniques and best practices
  • Computer competence (MS Word, Excel, Document control system, Primavera software)
  • Relevant CSCS Card
  • Training in Health & Safety and Environmental management
