About The Role

We are looking to strengthen our Delivery team with a Project Manager to lead the delivery of major civil engineering and water infrastructure projects. Reporting to the Senior Project Manager or Project Director, you will be accountable for the safe, efficient and profitable delivery of projects from contract award through to client handover.
You will lead multidisciplinary teams, manage client and stakeholder relationships, oversee programme and commercial performance, administer NEC contracts, and ensure the highest standards of safety, quality and environmental compliance. This role offers the opportunity to take ownership of major projects whilst developing high-performing teams and building long-term client relationships.
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead project delivery to achieve safety, quality, programme and commercial objectives.
  • Manage NEC contracts, change control, risk and opportunity processes.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, supply chain partners and stakeholders.
  • Lead project planning, resource management and delivery performance.
  • Drive a positive safety culture and ensure compliance with company and legislative requirements.
  • Develop and mentor project teams, promoting high performance and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure robust governance, reporting and project controls throughout the project lifecycle.

About You

You will be an experienced Project Manager with a proven track record of delivering civil engineering, water, utilities or infrastructure projects. You will be a confident leader who can manage multidisciplinary teams, build trusted client relationships and successfully deliver projects in complex operational environments.
Essential
  • Significant project management experience within civil engineering, utilities or infrastructure.
  • Strong understanding of NEC contracts and commercial management.
  • Experience leading multidisciplinary delivery teams and managing project risk.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • SMSTS and IOSH Managing Safely or NEBOSH Construction qualification.
  • HNC/HND or equivalent construction or engineering qualification.
Desirable
  • Degree-qualified in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Chartered or working towards professional accreditation.
  • Experience delivering water or wastewater infrastructure projects.
  • NEC accreditation or formal NEC training.
