About The Role

MWH Treatment is looking to strengthen their Engineering team with Engineers - all disciplines. The @one Alliance is a totally collaborative organisation made up of seven partner companies (Anglian Water, Balfour Beatty, Barhale, MMB, MWH Treatment, Skanska and SWECO) and their extended supply chain, delivering over half of Anglian Water’s capital investment programme.

 What will you be doing as our new Electrical Engineer?

As a talented and driven Electrical Engineer within our diverse and inclusive Engineering team, you’ll provide Electrical Engineering technical input to projects and the project team to an appropriate quality within project time scales. 

With the emphasis on safety and innovation, you’ll play a key role in our quest for engineering excellence to ensure we remain viewed as an industry- leading alliance who outperform against expectation whilst protecting the environment.

Key responsibilities:

  • Understand and embrace the Project Basis of Design. Ensure its importance is promoted and understood throughout the team
  • Lead the preparation and analysis of key electrical options, for review and agreement with the client and key project stakeholders
  • Liaise with the supply chain to ensure the latest technologies are assessed and understood as part of the optioneering process
  • Drive the development of SLDs, CBDs and other electrical installation documentation
  • Drive the development of control philosophies, system architecture diagrams and other ICA design documentation
  •  Provide electrical input into optimisation proposals & commissioning plans, including proposed performance tests
  •  Ensure all technical work is undertaken to the correct standards and specifications whilst maintaining your own quality and consistency of all process engineering technical documents
  • Ensure that the principles of process safety are incorporated in all designs including consideration of LOPA and DSEAR whilst complying with POSWASTE
  • Maintain close links with Partner Technical Specialist so we develop a culture of technical governance that ensures we deliver excellence at all times
  • Embrace and champion the design strategy whilst promoting different ways of working including introducing new technologies and understanding Project 13 initiatives to influence future project design

About You

Skills/Experience

To be considered for this position, you’ll hold a degree or appropriate higher technical qualification, you’ll have demonstrable experience as an Electrical Engineering in addition to your experience in managing situations proactively and proven ability think and plan ahead. You’ll demonstrate personal resilience by maintaining energy and focus when under pressure and experiencing significant setbacks.

You’ll have a high sense of personal responsibility, demonstrating this through commitment to results, consistent collaboration and caring about people. Possessing strong organisation skills to successfully manage and priorities workload. Experience in delivering Electrical Engineering on major biosolids treatment projects & wastewater treatment projects would be advantageous.
